Conceptual Framework

In looking at nutrition, this conceptual framework is a useful starting point as it reminds us that there are many factors which influence nutrition – not just food. In order to maintain and improve nutrition there are many issues to take into account which can be seen at a number of different levels and include :

All of these will impact on the eventual nutritional health of the individual. This framework thus strongly suggests that a holistic approach is much more appropriate and effective in dealing with nutrition than the mere provision of food. One thing even in a holistic approach remains the same, that every single person's priority in the world is the same - YOU HAVE TO EAT IN ORDER TO LIVE.
